The writ petition filed by Sah has been scheduled for hearing in a single bench of Judge Nripadhwaj Niraula.

Sah had filed a writ petition against the Election Commission, demanding that his candidacy be maintained. The Election Commission had rejected the candidacy of Sah, who entered politics through a contract, after a complaint was filed that his candidacy was blacklisted.

The Commission had rejected the candidacy of Kishori Lal Sah of Kishor Construction after it was mentioned on the website of the Credit Information Center that he was blacklisted on 2080 Poush 6 and 2079 Asoj 11. The Election Commission rejected his candidacy two days before the election on 21 Falgun.

In Dhanusha-1, there are candidates including Ram Chandra Mandal from UML, Ram Paltan Sah from Congress, and Matrika Prasad Yadav from NCP. The Election Commission has written to the government not to make the results public as the counting of votes has been completed here, but the case is pending in court.
