The National Independent Party has taken the lead in Udayapur-2. Previously, after coming in fourth, third, and second, RSP candidate Surya Lama is now leading with 4,287 votes.
He is followed by UML's Amber Rayamajhi with 3,3656 votes.
Nepali Communist Party's Suresh Kumar Rai has secured 2,467 votes in third place, while Shram Sanskriti Party's Balraj Rai has secured 2,120 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate is in fourth place with 2,059 votes. Election Officer Lok Bahadur Katuwal said that the counting of votes in Limchungbung, Tapli, and Rautamai rural municipalities under Udayapur constituency 2 has been completed and the counting of votes in Udayapurgadhi rural municipality is currently underway.
According to him, the counting of votes in Katari Municipality is yet to begin.
