Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Farmers Party has been defeated in Bhaktapur Constituency No. 1. He was defeated by Rukesh Ranjit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Ranjit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), who had been leading since the beginning, won by securing 33,436 votes, while Suwal secured only 28,147 votes.
Suwal had been winning consistently from that constituency. In the 2079 BS election, Suwal had won the election by a margin of 30,000 votes.
