Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane has taken the lead in Chitwan-2. Out of 3,669 votes counted, Lamichhane has received 1,158 votes.
UML candidate Asmin Ghimire got 907 votes, Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate Pratap Gurung got 775 votes, and Nepali Congress candidate Mina Kumari Kharel got 539 votes, the Chitwan-2 Chief Electoral Officer's Office has officially informed.
87,221 votes have been cast in Chitwan-2. Lamichhane won by a wide margin in the 2079 Mangsir election and the 2080 Baisakh by-election. Currently, the counting of Wards 1 and 2 of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality of Chitwan-2 has been completed, and the preliminary details of the counting of Ward 3 Fisling area are coming.
