A team including Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Chief of Security Agencies and high-ranking officials of the Home Ministry have inspected and monitored various polling stations in the Kathmandu Valley.
Minister Aryal, along with the chief of all security agencies, inspected various polling stations in Kathmandu and Lalitpur immediately after casting his vote in Lalitpur Constituency No. 3 under the House of Representatives election. He also had a two-way conversation with the voters.
During the inspection of each booth, voters praised and congratulated Home Minister Aryal. Some voters hugged and exchanged greetings.
They inspected Tika Vidyashram Secondary School in Sanepa, Lalitpur, Nagarjun Secondary School and Prithvi Narayan Secondary School in Tarakeshwor, Kathmandu, Shree Panchakanya Basic School in Baluwatar and the Central Election Cell at the Armed Police Force Headquarters.
Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal, Chief of the National Investigation Department Tekendra Karki, Nepal Army's commissioned officer Pradeep Jung KC, Chief and Spokesperson of the Security and Coordination Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs Ananda Kafle, among others, participated in the monitoring.
During the monitoring, Home Minister Aryal inspected the Central Election Cell at the Armed Police Force headquarters in Halchowk. During the monitoring of the polling stations, Home Minister Aryal said that the election is being held in a peaceful and encouraging atmosphere. He said that the overall peace and security situation across the country is normal, except for sporadic incidents.
After the monitoring, Home Minister Aryal reached the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar and briefed Prime Minister Sushila Karki. In terms of election security, Minister Aryal is monitoring all constituencies under the control of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
