Qatar Airways issued a fifth notice on Wednesday afternoon, saying its flights were temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace. The airline said flights would resume only after the safety of the route was confirmed. Qatar said in the update that it would provide another update on the flights at 9am Doha time on Friday (March 6, 2026, Doha time). Qatar Airways operates around 1,000 flights worldwide daily, including three daily flights to Kathmandu. Qatar has suggested options for passengers with travel dates up to Saturday (March 26). Free date changes or refunds will be available up to 14 days from the original travel date. The airline said that the wait time may be longer due to the high volume of calls from passengers at its call center in Qatar.
