Targeting the elections on Falgun 21, major hospitals across the country, including Bir Hospital, have formed rapid response teams.

Hospitals have stated that a team has been formed to manage emergency treatment services since there is a long public holiday due to the elections.

Although the OPD services of most hospitals will be closed on election day, emergency treatment services will remain operational. Bir Hospital has stated that a team has been formed to manage health emergencies arising from possible incidents targeting the elections. The team has been formed under the coordination of the Chief of the Emergency Department, Dr. Suresh Prasad Nepal. The team includes health workers including doctors and nurses.

Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Dang, said that the team has been formed to make emergency treatment services effective during the elections. The hospital has stated that doctors, nursing and paramedical staff will provide services immediately in case of an emergency siren call or a message on the mobile.

Bharatpur Hospital has stated that the OPD will be closed during the public holiday during the election, but emergency and outpatient services will continue to operate as usual. Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butbal has formed an Emergency Health Treatment Management Committee under the coordination of Dr. Nurul Hoda, Head of the Emergency Department. The hospital has asked for at least one chief physician and two other physicians to be deployed on election day in addition to regular duty in the departments of surgery, medicine, orthopedics, dental, radiology, and laboratory.
