There is a program to monitor the election security and the overall election environment and give instructions to the security agencies by monitoring the related security agencies and polling stations on-site.
Earlier on Sunday, a team of high-ranking officials, including Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, had reached Achham, Bajhang, Bajura and Dhangadhi in Kailali via Nepalgunj in Banke and inspected and monitored the election preparations and security arrangements on-site. On that occasion, Minister Aryal expressed his confidence that the elections would be held in a clean, fair and fear-free environment and called on voters to exercise their franchise with confidence.
Earlier, on February 15, a high-ranking team including Home Minister Aryal and Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari had discussed and interacted with the District Security Committee, major political parties in the districts, Chief Polling Officers and other stakeholders regarding the preparations for the elections and peace and security in Dolakha, Okhaldhunga, Morang, Rautahat and Parsa.
The government has strengthened and made election security and the overall peace and security of the country more effective to hold the elections in a clean, fair and fear-free environment.
