The embassy has urged all Nepali citizens in the UAE to exercise restraint and stay in safe places.
The identity of the Nepali who died in the Iranian drone attack has been revealed. According to the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, 29-year-old Diwas Shrestha from Gorkha died in the incident that occurred while the drone was being deactivated at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.
Divas was working as a security guard at the Middle East Company. The embassy has received official information about his death from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 'The Nepali Embassy expresses its deep sorrow over the demise of Mr. Shrestha. We also pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,' the embassy said.
The embassy also stated that it is ready to facilitate all the work including repatriating Shrestha's body as soon as the situation improves. The embassy has also requested all Nepali citizens in the UAE to exercise restraint and stay in safe places and fully comply with all security measures issued by the UAE government.
