The Department of Foreign Employment has suspended the process of issuing work permits in the Gulf region from Sunday. The department has decided not to issue work permits until further notice.
According to the department, work permits have been suspended in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Malaysia, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen and Israel.
