Tensions have increased in the Middle East after the US and Israel carried out airstrikes on Iran and assassinated its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. 

In response to the attack against it, Iran is attacking US military bases in Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. 

This has spread unrest throughout the Middle East. Its direct impact has also been felt in Nepal. In particular, the cancellation of flights from Nepal to the Gulf region has increased the pressure of passengers at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. 

Nepali workers who were supposed to fly to the Gulf for employment are confused due to the cancellation of flights. They are seen waiting at the airport for flights to resume.
