Dr. Dhakal, who resigned from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has been inducted into the party by Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma.
National Independent Party leader Dr. Shankar Dhakal has resigned from the party. Dhakal, who left the Rashtriya Swatantra Party on Sunday, has joined the Nepali Congress.
Dhakal, a member of the RSVP's Federal Leadership Forum and Federal Election Management Committee, resigned from his party post and responsibilities by addressing party Vice President DP Aryal.
Dhakal was inducted into the party by Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma. Dhakal was a central member of Ujjalo Nepal. After the unity between Ujjalo Nepal and the RSVP broke down, Dhakal remained in the RSVP.
He remained in the RSVP to become a candidate for the House of Representatives from Kavre. But the RSVP did not give him a ticket. He, who was active in the RSVP's election campaign in Kavre, left the party before voting. He is a local resident of Mandandeupur 5 in Kavre.
