The habeas corpus petition of Durga Prasai, a medical professional and coordinator of the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Protection Campaign, has been filed in the Supreme Court. 

The petition has been filed in the bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Meghraj Pokharel. The petition has been filed in the second number. 

In Prasai's case, Uma Prasai has filed a habeas corpus petition. Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered him to appear in court. 

Prasai has been arrested and released at various times. The last time, the police arrested him on Monday night for investigation into his statements. The family has filed a habeas corpus petition after the district court extended his time and started the investigation.  If the Supreme Court orders his release today, he will be released, but if the petition is rejected, he will remain in custody.
