A bus coming from Pokhara to Kathmandu has fallen into the Trishuli River.
The bus (No. Ga2Kha 1421) fell into the Trishuli from Chinadhara near Charaudi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading at around 1:15 am on Monday. According to Shishir Thapa, Chief of the District Traffic Office, Dhading, 17 people have died in the incident. Rajkumar Thakuri, Chairman of the Highway Rescue Management Committee, informed that 23 other injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment. It is said that there were more than 35 passengers on the bus.

Rescue work is underway by the Nepal Army, Armed Forces, Nepal Police and locals. Since the incident took place at night, the rescue work is being difficult. Detailed details of the incident have not yet been released.
