The Supreme Court has sent back the decision to allow prisoners to vote for re-implementation.

The Supreme Court had issued a decree in the name of the government to make arrangements for prisoners to vote in the proportional system. A bench of Justices Abdul Aziz Musalman and Nripadhwaj Niraula had pronounced this verdict. Although the Supreme Court had ruled last Ashar, all the files were burnt on Bhadra 24 while the full text was being prepared.  Stating that the House of Representatives elections are approaching, the Supreme Court has prepared a summary verdict a few days ago and sent it for implementation.

'For the implementation of the order, a certified copy of this order shall be kept and sent in writing to the opposing bodies through the Attorney General's Office,' the summary verdict said, 'Enter the electronic copy of the order in the electronic system of this court and submit the file with the order as per the rules.'

The Supreme Court has said that it has been seen that the prisoners were able to exercise their right to vote by setting up temporary polling stations in prisons and making arrangements for proportional voting in the 2079 Mangsir 4 elections. This order has been issued in the name of the opposition parties to compile a temporary voter list and designate temporary polling stations in prisons to ensure the legal right of prisoners in prisons to participate in the proportional election for the purpose of the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

The Supreme Court has also asked civil servants, security personnel, and others to make arrangements for voting in the proportional election. The Election Commission has already compiled the voter list. The Commission's Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC said that the Election Commission has already made preparations to grant the right to vote.
