A leopard injured in a snare has died in Malarani Rural Municipality of Arghakhanchi. The leopard was injured after falling into a snare set by locals for wild animals in Malarani-3 Tunipokhari.
The injured leopard was rescued and taken to the Arghakhanchi District Forest Office for treatment. The leopard died on Monday afternoon, said Keshav Khadka, Information Officer of the Division Forest Office.
Forest Office employee Namalal Shrestha was injured while rescuing the leopard. He is undergoing treatment.
