Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Chairman Narayanman Bijukchhe has said that setting fire to the country's main administrative bodies, including Singha Durbar, is wrong.

Unveiling the party's election manifesto in Kathmandu on Sunday, he also said that it is not right to set fire to key places in the country to rid it of corruption. He said that only by giving work and wages according to one's qualifications will the country move forward on the right path.

'It is right to oppose corruption. But it is not true that corruption will be ended by burning down Singha Durbar, setting fire to Rashtrapati Bhavan and all other schools and colleges. There is no work according to qualifications. There is no wage according to work here. That is why our votes will decrease,' he said.

Chairman Bijukchhe reiterated his party's stance that it will not join the government after the elections and said that it will intensify the work of pressuring the government to work in favor of the country and the people through parliament.
