A team including British Army Major General Gerald M. Strickland has presented the annual report of the Gurkha Brigade to President Ram Chandra Poudel.

On the occasion, President Poudel mentioned that Nepal and the United Kingdom have been cooperating on issues related to development, human welfare and peace in international forums and that both countries share the same view on establishing world peace through the United Nations peacekeeping force.

He mentioned that Nepal and the United Kingdom have had close relations for centuries and expressed gratitude for the continuous support provided by the United Kingdom, which is also an important development partner, in Nepal's development.

He expressed happiness that the British Gurkhas have further strengthened the bilateral relations between Nepal and the UK through their commendable works and also stated that they believe that the presence of Nepalis in the United Kingdom has further strengthened the people-to-people relations between the two countries, according to the President's Personal Secretariat.
