Police have taken seven people into custody while they were gambling in Bana Bazaar, Panchkhapan Municipality-6, Sankhuwasabha.

On Monday, around 4 pm, police from the Area Police Office, Bana raided the house of Durga Bahadur Shrestha in Bana Bazaar based on information that he was playing cards. In the process, seven people who were playing cards were taken into custody and three books of cards and Rs 513,350 in cash were seized, said DSP Kumar Prasad Mainali of the office.

The house where the cards were being played is about 1,500 meters away from the Area Police Office, Bana. The police said that the arrested people and the seized items have been brought to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha for necessary investigation.
