Parsa Police has initiated action against Police Constable Shyam Narayan Patel, who is working at the Area Police Office Sirsia.
Parsa Police Spokesperson DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet said that departmental action has been initiated by dragging Police Constable Patel to the District Police Office since Friday.
‘It was found that Constable Patel acted against police ethics,’ he said, ‘He was found to have made comments on social media in favor of a political party.’
There is a provision in the Police Act and Regulations that employees working in security agencies are not allowed to campaign for or against any political party or candidate.
