Medical practitioner Durga Prasai has been arrested from Chalnakhel, Kathmandu.
He was arrested by Kathmandu police while going from Kathmandu to Birgunj. He was preparing to hold a program in Birgunj. The police are preparing to hand him over to the Cyber Bureau for further investigation.
Prasai, who is leading the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Civil Defense Campaign, had planned to hold a program in Birgunj, but the local administration did not give him permission. Prasai, however, insisted on holding the program at Ghantaghar despite not getting permission. On Thursday alone, the campaign's Janakpur coordinator Bijay Thapa had said that the program to be addressed by Durga Prasai was being organized as a 'massive citizens' meeting.'
Durga Prasai had reached Chitwan on 19 Magh. When he started holding a program at a different place from the designated place, the police intervened.
