It has been found that gold is being smuggled through Tribhuvan International Airport by hiding it in the anus. An Indian passenger, Abu Bakrat Kurte, who arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai, was arrested with gold hidden in his anus.

According to SP Rajkumar Silwal of the Airport Security Office, he arrived in Kathmandu at 10 am on Wednesday on a Fly Dubai flight. He was checked after his activities were found suspicious. During that, he was taken to the toilet and made to defecate.

'A metal lump was found while making him defecate, weighing 100 grams including plastic,' Silwal said. Police said he has been sent to the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office for further investigation.
