Two women have been arrested on charges of attempting to smuggle a laptop and mobile phone by evading customs.
Those arrested have been identified as 26-year-old Purnima Lama Tamang, a permanent resident of Makawanpur, and 36-year-old Roshni Kumari Shrestha, a resident of Rupandehi.
According to SP Rajkumar Silwal of the Airport Security Police Office, an iPhone and two Lenovo laptops were recovered from Purnima, while Shrestha was arrested with two iPhones and two Apple Watches.
It is said that the suspects have been sent to the airport customs for further action.
