Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai has informed that the names of 76 people have been removed from the closed list based on complaints filed against the candidates, their qualifications, and information received from various parties.

The Election Commission has removed the names of 76 candidates from the closed list of proportional representation.
Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the names of 76 people have been removed from the closed list based on complaints filed against the candidates, their qualifications, and information received from various parties. According to which, the names of 21 people who were on the blacklist of the Credit Information Center have been removed. The names of 25 people whose names were on the closed list of the provincial assembly, 10 who had not paid the commission's fine, 4 who were under the age of 25, 1 who was not included in the voter list, 2 who were not in a backward area, 1 who was nominated as a male candidate instead of a female candidate, 10 who were requested to remove their names by political parties, and 2 for other reasons have been removed.
