The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is planning to organize the 12th World Conference and International General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu from 30 Falgun to 2 Chait.
The ministry has appealed to everyone to make the general convention to elect the new leadership a success. In a press conference organized by the ministry on Monday, it has also appealed to all non-resident Nepalis to participate in making the world convention and the large international convention a success.
The ministry, which has been playing the role of the government's liaison body on issues related to non-resident Nepalis, has been providing necessary support and facilitation to organize the world convention and the general convention of the association. A high-level organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to organize the conference. The NRNA Secretariat will handle the secretariat of the committee.

A large-scale unity program was held on 30 November 2025, resolving the organizational complications seen after the 10th and 11th general conventions of the association through dialogue and cooperation. The conference will discuss issues related to the Non-Resident Nepali Act, economic, social and cultural rights guaranteed by the constitution, joint investment of Non-Resident Nepalis, tourism, health, knowledge, skills and technology transfer, women, youth and the second generation. The conference will be attended by representatives of the Government of Nepal, representatives of Non-Resident Nepalis from various National Coordination Councils, NRN activists and distinguished personalities from home and abroad.
