There was a long traffic jam on the Daunne road section from Bishwakarma Temple to Dumkibas Bazaar until 2:30 pm on Thursday.
The road that was blocked due to mud after heavy rains in Daunne, eastern Nawalparasi along the Mahendra Highway has been reopened. According to District Traffic Police Chief Kusal Bartaula, two-way traffic in Daunne resumed from Thursday afternoon after the mud accumulated on the highway dried up.
There was a long traffic jam on the Daunne road section from Vishwakarma Temple to Dumkibas Bazaar till 2:30 pm on Thursday. The traffic jam was around 4 kilometers long. 'Traffic has resumed now, there is no problem anymore,' said Bartaula.
The road was blocked after the highway became muddy due to moderate rain on Wednesday.
