A person has died in a rhinoceros attack in Madi, Chitwan.

According to details received from the Chitwan District Police Office, Ashok Bhattarai of Madi Municipality-1 has died. 

Ashok, who had gone to collect firewood, was attacked by a rhinoceros at 3 pm on Monday near the Marod River.

Bhattarai, who was seriously injured in the attack, died at 7 pm on Monday at the Teaching Hospital of Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur, Chitwan District Police Office spokesperson DSP Rabindra Khanal informed. 

Madi, which is located near the Chitwan National Park, is more vulnerable to wildlife.
