Senior leader of the National Independent Party (NISP), Balendra Shah, arrived in Nepalgunj on Monday afternoon on his way to the Far West.

Thousands of well-wishers and supporters were present at the Nepalgunj airport to welcome Shah.

Local leaders and activists including Khagendra Sunar were present at the airport to welcome Shah, who was visiting Nepalgunj for the first time.

Shah is scheduled to depart from Nepalgunj for Bardiya and reach Radhakrishna Chowk in Gulariya Bazaar in Bardiya on Monday afternoon. After a brief meeting in Gulariya, he is scheduled to head towards the Far West via Bardiya.

Political interest has increased in Banke and Bardiya regarding Shah's visit, and supporters are seen excited.
