The Supreme Court has ordered the submission of four files in the next hearing in a writ petition filed by Resham Lal Chaudhary, the patron of the Civil Liberation Party.

After the Election Commission rejected Chaudhary's candidacy, it issued a show cause order in the writ filed by Chaudhary and has called for discussion for an interim order. But Chaudhary had initially demanded an interim order. 

On Sunday, a single bench of Supreme Court Justice Bal Krishna Dhakal ordered a written response from the Election Commission on the writ filed by Chaudhary. Both parties have also been asked to be present on the 15th to discuss the interim order.

Chaudhary had reached the Supreme Court after the Election Commission rejected his candidacy from Kailali Constituency No. 1. The Election Commission rejected his candidacy as he was found guilty by three levels of courts in the case of manslaughter related to the Tikapur massacre.

These are the four files requested by the Supreme Court 

(a) Appellant Resham Lal Chaudhary v. Government of Nepal, case No. 077-CR-1075, dated 2080/2/2, file with the judgment.

(b) File with application number 080-70-1040, which is pending in this court, including the writ petitioner Resham Lal Chaudhary and the respondent Election Commission, be submitted for inspection.

(c) File with application number 079-WO-1337, including the petitioner Sharda Kadayat v. Office of the President, be submitted for inspection.

(d) Certified copy/decision dated 2082/10/8 of the Office of the Returning Officer, Kailali, regarding the cancellation of the candidature of the petitioner, be submitted.
