Police have begun an investigation into the 'fake rescue' of tourists going on trekking and mountaineering trips.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has taken some people into custody after preliminary investigation, said an investigation officer of the CIB. “The operation is still ongoing, we will inform you about this at a press conference at 5 pm,” said the officer.
CIB spokesperson Shiv Kumar Shrestha also said that a press conference has been held to inform you about the progress of the investigation into the fake rescue.
