Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who had filed his candidacy from Gorkha Constituency No. 2, and Gopal Babu Shrestha from Gorkha-1 have withdrawn their candidacies.
The Progressive Democratic Party (PRALOP) has withdrawn its candidacy from both constituencies in Gorkha.
Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Gopal Babu Shrestha of Gorkha-1, who had filed their candidacies from Gorkha Constituency No. 2, have withdrawn their candidacies.
Both withdrew their candidacies by 1 pm on Friday, the deadline set by the Election Commission, informed District Election Office Information Officer Ravilal Subedi.
Now, in Gorkha-1, Prem Kumar Khatri from the Nepali Congress, Hariraj Adhikari from the Nepali Communist Party, Sudhan Gurung from the National Independent Party (NRP), and Ram Kaji Rana Magar from the Ujjaya Nepal Party have filed their candidacies. Similarly, Ramchandra Lamichhane from UML, Bishnu Prasad Rijal from CPN-Maoist, Akash Rana Magar from National Republic Nepal, Manukumari Shrestha from Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party, Kedarmani Khanal from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Dev Bahadur Thapa from Mongol National Organization and Jit Bahadur Ghale from Samyutta Nagarik Party are candidates .
Similarly, in Gorkha Constituency No. 2, Prakash Chandra Dawadi from Congress, Kavindra Burlakoti from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP), Lekhnath Neupane from Nepali Communist Party, Kalpana Kumal from Aam Janata Party, Tek Bahadur Pradhan from NCP-Maoist, Som Bahadur Gurung from Mongol National Organization, Ram Sharan Budhathoki from Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party, Balram Tamang from Ujjaya Nepal Party, Milan Gurung from UML, Prasad Gurung from Nation Republic Nepal have filed their candidacies . Similarly, Chuda Prasad Dhakal and Hari Pokharel have filed their candidacies as independent candidates.
