A meeting of the Central Working Committee led by Gagan Thapa, elected through a special general convention, is scheduled to be held at the party office, Sanepa, on Friday.

The special general assembly dissolved the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led working committee and elected a new central working committee on Poush 30.

This is the first meeting to be held in Sanepa since the new central working committee was elected. Due to internal disputes within the party, the newly elected central working committee has been holding meetings outside Sanepa instead of going to Sanepa.

According to party spokesperson Devraj Chalise, a meeting of the central working committee has been called for Friday at 1 pm. Preparations are underway to announce President Thapa as the future Prime Minister from the meeting.

After the party announces the future Prime Minister, Thapa is scheduled to go to his constituency Sarlahi-4.
