Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand has registered his candidacy from his home district of Baitadi for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
After filing his candidacy on Tuesday, there is a lot of curiosity about what he will do for the CAN post. Chand said that he will not leave the post of chairman immediately as he can manage his time and work.
‘I have not left the post as I can manage my time and work as I still have the term of CAN,’ he said, ‘If I cannot manage my time, I will hand over the responsibility.’
Chand, who is still the Congress Baitadi chairman, said that he has done the work of both the party and CAN simultaneously. Chand is holding the responsibility of CAN chairman for the second time. Chand was first elected as CAN chairman in 2076 BS and became the unopposed chairman for the second time in 2080 BS.
