Gurung, who was recommended as a candidate by UML in Okhaldhunga, received a ticket from the NCP.

Although Gurung's name was recommended by the district, the center sidelined him and gave the ticket to Asmita Thapa, who was not recommended. Expressing dissatisfaction with this decision, four sister organizations of UML even locked the Okhaldhunga party office.

Amirbabu Gurung, who was recommended by Okhaldhunga UML, has become a candidate from the Nepali Communist Party.

Gurung, dissatisfied with the UML center giving a ticket to Asmita Thapa, who was not recommended by the district, has filed a candidacy on behalf of the NCP.

Okhaldhunga Expressing dissatisfaction over not giving a ticket to a person recommended by the UML, 4 sister organizations of the UML even locked the Okhaldhunga party office last Sunday.

UML sister organizations National Youth Association, ANNFSU, All Nepal Women's Association and Nepal Sports Federation had locked it for an indefinite period, demanding a correction in the decision.

Similarly, UML Okhaldhunga President Gyan Bahadur Khadka issued a statement on Sunday, stating that since the decision made by the Okhaldhunga District Committee in the name of democratic centralism was reversed and a decision was made for a faction against the sentiments of the general party cadres, such a person could not be supported.

According to Kamal Neupane, Vice President of UML Okhaldhunga, the party center's bias has led to the sister organizations locking up after the party center reversed the decision of the Okhaldhunga District Committee and gave tickets to people who were not recommended.

According to Neupane, 5 names were recommended out of 18 people who wanted to be candidates. Neupane said that one of the recommended candidates - Ishwar Pokharel, Yagyaraj Sunuwar, Amirbabu Gurung, Nanibabu Badathoki and Gyan Bahadur Khadka - was not given a ticket, but a person whose name did not come up in the discussion (Thapa) was given a ticket.
