The Gagan Thapa-Bishwaprakash Sharma side had elected a new leadership by holding a special general convention. The Deuba side had approached the Election Commission against this, saying that the special general convention itself was illegal.
The Commission had given legitimacy to the newly elected working committee. The Deuba side has approached the Supreme Court against this.
