Sarlahi Police have taken into custody a prisoner who escaped from Kathmandu during the Genji movement. The police have taken into custody 38-year-old Min Bahadur Poudel alias Amit, a resident of Hariban Municipality-8, Betali, who escaped from Jagannath Dewal Prison, Kathmandu on Bhadra 24.

The district police said that he was arrested while hiding in a village.

The court had sentenced Poudel to 20 years in prison for manslaughter. He has already served eight years and six months in prison.
