UML leader Kiran Kumar Sah has joined the Nepali Communist Party. Sah joined the NCP after the UML did not field a candidate for the House of Representatives.

Sah was inducted into the party by NCP co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal. After joining the NCP, Sah has registered his candidacy from Rautahat Constituency No. 2.  

Sah was elected as an independent MP in the 2079 elections. After joining the UML, he also became a member of the parliamentary committee.
