Janmadev Jaisi, who has been fighting for the rights of working journalists for a long time, is set to file his candidacy from Bhaktapur-2.

He is going to get his nomination done today on behalf of the Progressive Democratic Party (PRALOPA).

'I have been active in journalism, workers' rights and democratic struggle for a long time. Today, I have come to you with a responsible decision,' he said on social media, 'I announce my candidacy in the Bhaktapur-2 House of Representatives election from the Progressive Democratic Party.'

Santosh Pariyar of PRALOPA has handed over the ticket to him.
