The Nepali Congress has finalized its candidate in Sindhupalchowk for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun.

The Congress has nominated District President Jung Bahadur Lama for the House of Representatives constituency no. 1 and leader Vansh Lal Tamang for the constituency no. 2. 

Tamang is a long-time leader of the Congress and is also the former chairman of Indrawati Rural Municipality. Former Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet's name was previously in the news for constituency no. 1, but his name was removed at the last minute.

Basnet was elected from the House of Representatives constituency no. 2 in the previous federal election.  Similarly,  Dr. Prem Dhwaj Lama of Sindhupalchowk is nominated by the Congress in proportional representation.
