He has got a ticket from the RSS. Parties including Nepal UML, Nepali Communist Party, and RPP have also finalized their candidates.
Kandel, who was the Congress candidate in constituency number 2, was defeated by RPP's Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan in the last election.
