Before resigning as Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mahabir Pun donated the national and international medals he received to the government.

Pun has made public the information that he donated the medals to the government on Tuesday through social media. He wrote, 'All the international and national medals that I have received were donated to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal through the Secretary.'

Pun says that he donated the medals to the government after no one bought them even though he wanted to sell them. 'Everyone knows that he tried to sell these medals and donate them to the National Innovation Center and Birgunj Agricultural Tool Factory. But despite trying for 4 years, no one bought them. That is why they became the property of the Government of Nepal.'

Pun has also written that he wants to sell his 28 ropani land in Thulakot Pokhara and donate it to the Agricultural Tool Factory. He also says that the land was not sold.
