India has provided 538 vehicles as a grant for Nepal's upcoming House of Representatives elections.

India has provided 538 vehicles for the Nepali House of Representatives elections. Similarly, it has also provided non-lethal crowd control equipment for the security forces. The vehicles provided include jeeps and trucks.

Home Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle said that about 100 vehicles provided by India as aid have arrived in Kathmandu in the first phase and more are on the way. The Indian Embassy in Nepal handed over the vehicles to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal on Tuesday.
