The Nepal Medical Association elections have been postponed.

The association issued a press release today, stating that the election program scheduled according to the predetermined schedule has been postponed, taking into account the interim order issued by the Patan High Court. 

Chief Election Officer Dr. Pranayaratna Shakya said that the election committee will issue another notice in this regard as soon as possible and make the new schedule regarding the election program public.

The association's election was scheduled to be held outside the Kathmandu Valley on Magh 2 and 3. It was scheduled to be held inside the Kathmandu Valley on Magh 3, 4 and 5. 

Some time ago, the Patan High Court had issued a final order not to hold the election in the status quo in a writ filed by Dr. Ajay Kumar Mishra.
