Attorney General Savita Bhandari has decided in favor of all the defendants after a controversy arose over withdrawing only the cases related to money laundering and organized crime involving Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Rabi Lamichhane.

A writ petition has been filed against the Attorney General's decision in the Supreme Court, while the Nepal Bar Association and others have been criticizing and pressuring the Attorney General to withdraw the case, but Bhandari said she took another decision on Friday.  "It used to be said only in cases, but now the charges are amended in the case of everyone," said Attorney General Bhandari, "We cannot discriminate. Everyone gets the same decision, and if there was an error before, it will be corrected." She argued that she made such a decision because she cannot do injustice to anyone.
