A team led by President-elect Gagan Thapa reached the Commission from the special general convention on Wednesday night. The team includes Vice Presidents Bishwaprakash Sharma and Pushpa Bhusal. The meeting held this morning decided to update the details in the Commission. The first meeting discussed various issues including preparations for the upcoming election scheduled for Falgun 21. The committee will submit an application to the Election Commission today to update the documents, as a new leadership has been selected from the party's special general convention. They will inform the Election Commission that the special general convention has been completed and a new leadership has been selected as per the party's statute. If the Commission accepts the application and updates it, this working committee will legally become the Nepali Congress.
