Addressing the closed session of the Congress special convention, Gagan Thapa, a leader of the Nepali Congress special convention supporters, asked, "What has changed after the Jen-Jan movement?" He said, "Did the country ask for Sher Bahadur Deuba?"

Leader Thapa clarified that they do not want any personal position or benefit, saying, 'We have said it many times, I said it this morning too - we do not need anything . Let's form an interim leadership from the hall of the special general convention 

Thapa said he did not want anything and was taking a risk to bring something new to the upcoming House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21.
