The Election Committee has moved forward with the general convention election process by publishing the voter list, nomination registration, and detailed voting schedules.
The election process to select a new leadership has formally begun under the special general convention of the Nepali Congress underway at Bhrikuti Mandap.
Special Central General Convention According to the election program made public by the Central Election Committee, the process from publication of the voter list to registration of candidacy has begun.
The Central Election Committee meeting approved the election schedule and made it public. According to the program, the first voter list has been published from 12:30. Claims and objections to the voter list and an investigation will be conducted from 12:30 to 1:30. After that, the final voter list will be published at 2 pm and the time for registering nomination papers has been fixed from 2 to 3 pm.
According to the election schedule, the first list of candidates will be published today in Nepali alphabetical order (in Devanagari script). After the claims and objections to the candidacy and their investigation are completed, time will be given to withdraw the candidacy and the final candidate list will be published.
According to the election committee, the claims and objections will be investigated until 7 pm. The final list of candidates will be published at 8:45 pm.
The voting schedule has been fixed from 9 pm. The counting of votes will begin after the voting is completed and the election results will be made public as soon as the counting is completed.
As the special general convention moves towards leadership selection, leaders of the establishment party are also engaged in active discussions.
