Seven Chinese nationals involved in call bypass have been arrested.
A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested them from a restaurant in Jyatha, Thamel on Tuesday.
According to CIB spokesperson SSP Shiva Kumar Shrestha, the Chinese nationals are 33-year-old Liu Pan, 31-year-old Gao Zhikun, 41-year-old Liu Jianwei, 41-year-old Du Shuangsheng, 38-year-old Peng Kang, 49-year-old Chai Zhiqing, and 42-year-old Zhang Hao.
In coordination with Nepal Telecom and Ncell, the CIB raided a restaurant run by Chinese national Liu Pan in Jyatha on Tuesday and took them into custody. It has been revealed that the Chinese gang had used the restaurant as a shelter to bypass calls. The CIB has initiated an investigation against them.
