A waterfowl census will be conducted on Sunday in the western sector of Chitwan National Park, which is adjacent to Nawalparasi in the east. The census will be conducted in the Narayani River and the surrounding border areas.

In the previous census, 44 species of birds were found in the western sector of the park. In the bird census being conducted in Chitwan National Park and its surrounding areas, 111 species of birds were found. Out of this, 38 species of birds were found in the western sector last year, conservationist DB Chaudhary informed.
Waterfowl census work has been underway in Chitwan National Park and its surrounding areas for the past 39 years.
