'AI Conclave 2026' is scheduled to be held at Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel.

The AI ​​Conclave is being organized by the Artificial Intelligence Club (KUAIC) under the Department of Artificial Intelligence of Kathmandu University. It is said that the AI ​​Conclave is being organized as part of the second phase of the ‘AI Convergence 2026’ program run by the club.

KUAI Club President Ashim Shrestha informed that the club was established in 2022 under the leadership of students to promote innovation, leadership development, learning new skills, and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

According to him, the club has previously held AI meet in 2024 and 2025. He said that ‘AI Convergence’ was organized by refining the previous year’s program. He said that the program aims to bring together learning and innovation in the AI ​​field on a single platform.

According to him, the AI ​​Conclave aims to spread awareness about its practical applications in education, health, finance, governance, industry and society, without limiting AI to research or generative tools.

He said that the AI ​​Convergence 2026, organized with the slogan ‘Bridging Intelligence and Innovation’, aims to connect students, researchers, industry, startups, policymakers and the general public on a single platform.

Ranjit Raut, coordinator of AI Convergence, said that ‘AI Convergence 2026’ is being conducted in three phases. According to him, the first phase ‘AI Canvas’ includes basic learning programs including AI Foundation, Bootcamp, and webinars. He said that the second phase ‘AI Conclave’ will be conducted on January 12, 13 and 14 at the central office of Kathmandu University.

The three-day national-level program will have a 'National Level AI Summit' on January 12. Project exhibitions, robotics competitions, e-games, tech talks and expo will be held on January 13, while the AI ​​Conclave will conclude on January 14 with a panel discussion titled 'AI for Society', the finale of e-games, public awareness programs on AI, and discussions on AI policy.

The organizers have stated that a 'Refresh and Culture' program will also be held along with the conclusion of the conclave on January 14. The organizers have estimated that five thousand spectators will participate in the three-day 'AI Conclave'.

The programs on the second and third days will also be open to the general public. The program will be held at the central office of Kathmandu University from 9 am to 4 pm. He said that the third phase 'AI Crusade' will be organized towards the end of March.
